FFT Makes Dreams Come True

Why am I awake at 2:28 AM?  Because the wonderful organization, Fund For Teachers awarded our checks to Jodie and myself tonight...and I just needed to THANK them one last time before I go to sleep with a HUGE smile.  THANK YOU!

Grant Money Received!

Tonight was an exciting night!  We got to meet Perrin...the brains and muscles behind the wonderful organization, Fund For Teachers, that is providing our grant and making this educational opportunity come true!  We got our checks, opened SKYPE accounts, and have ALL of our hotel reservations completed!  Now for more planning... :)

Debating/ Planning/ Dreaming

It has been a whirlwind of a weekend.  LOTS of time has been spent on the Internet looking at flights and selecting the itinerary!  Currently, landing in Luxembourg to begin our adventure is seeming like a great start of our adventure.  We believe we will be traveling from Saturday, July 23rd and returning home Monday, August 1st!  Hoping that time will go quickly! 

We need to study up on German phrases and the language, maps, and the Grimm's Fairy Tales.  Here is a great site to help you get prepared with us!

Our Saga Begins

Although today is April 1, 2011~there is no fooling around!  Jodie and I were officially notified that we were selected to be Fund For Teacher Fellows!  We will be touring Germany and following the Fairy Tale Road in July to improve and enhance written and oral communication with our students.  We will share our adventures and our learning with you as we continue with our journey!
